Not all adventure requires physical demands, specialized equipment, experience, risk. The Quijos valley offers varied options to enjoy touching activities outdoors with the whole family, including to the youngest.

Horseback riding:

By the riversides of the Borja river:

To experience the tradition of riding a docile horse, strong and reliable, admiring the beautiful surroundings of La Campiña del Quijos, it is an adventure that is still part of the lifestyle of our rural community.

To the territory of the Andean bears:
From the forest that surrounds us, the Andean bear looks at us. Occasionally it visits us.

It travels by the margin of the Borja river, crossing by a canyon of mountains where feels an atmosphere of solitude, following a rural road where the trees form attractive arches, crossing plains; and, greeting with friendly peasants that have made home in that beautiful valley.

This adventure is a friendly and respectful riding with the nature, up to where frequently a family of this herbivore giant from the Andes is sighted, in the limit with the Cayambe-Coca ecological reserve. With luck we find them.

It is enjoyed looking at varied birds exotic, enormous diversity of plants, strange insects and a beautiful panoramic view of the Quijos valley.
