Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve				Located in the oriental slope of the Andes, crisscross with the high basin of the Amazonía, the Quijos valley is an amalgam of six different ecological areas and the habitat of an unusual diversity of wild life..

It is the protected area with more diversity of plants and animals in the Ecuador. In this ten life zones have been identified. Up to now registered 900 species of birds are, 110 species of amphibians, 140 of reptiles and more than 200 species of mammals. The scientists think that this is only the half.
				Whereas clause its biological wealth, is part of a region included among the most interesting to global scale. It is the reason for which three protected natural areas are here.
Antisana Ecological Reserve
Mega diversity concentrated on a small region. Impressive contrasts: From the perpetual snow until tropical forest.

				Beautiful nature

				To be at the same time an amazon and Andean region, the contrasts that it possesses are just surprising. The changes happen quickly when advancing the road or when rotating the look. Of course, among extreme radicals the natural monuments cannot be less than diverse and beautiful: lakes, many waterfalls in varied ways and heights, rivers, volcanos and a mosaic of landscapes where the overwhelming abundance of life is shown with the whole range of the green color.
Sumaco Napo-Galeras National Park
Considered among the protected areas fewer explored. It possesses abrupt transitions of altitude that form diverse ecological niches and special biological conditions. The scientists locate here a "refuge of the pleistoceno", inhabited by species that were generated in that remote time. This national park is recognized by the UNESCO like Reserve of the Biosphere.
